Pte. John Banger

British Army 8th Btn. Somerset Light Infantry

John Banger fell at the Battle of Arras at the age of 26. His body was never found but he is remembered with honour on the Arras Memorial.

Additional Information:

My Grandmothers brother, her name was Elsie Mary Banger married name Lewis. their childhood home was in Bishops Lydeard. Their other brother was called William, They had a sister Gertie, who died when she was six and is buried in the Church in Bishops Lydeard.
