Pte. Fred Brindle

Fred Brindle died on the 9th of April 1916, aged 23 and is commemorated on the Basra War Memorial in Iraq. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Brindle, of 83 Fir St., Nelson, Lancs.

Additional Information:

Fred was the younger brother of L/Cpl William T Brindle {my grandfather} they joined the Army together and both served in the 6 Btn. William was discharged 1919 and died 1920.
