Pte. Michael Byrne

British Army 8th Btn. B Coy. Royal Dublin Fusiliers

from:Dublin

(d.10th Feb 1917)

Michael Byrne was 19 years old at the time of his death and is interred at the La Laiterie Military Cemetery.

Additional Information:

My grandfather Patrick Hanlon 27757 RDF came across Michael and stayed with him on the battle field until his death. I can find very little information about Patricks time with the RDF. It appears that they were neighbours. Michael's address was 21 Gordon's Place South Richmond St. Dublin. My grandfather lived in Masterson's lane Fitzwilliam Dublin almost the next street. Did they know each other before joining up? Any help would be appreciated.
