Cpl. Bernard Alfred Mossop

British Army 10th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment

from:Smethwick

(d.11th October 1915)

I am researching my husband's great great uncle who was killed in Action - we think in France.

If anyone has any information on where the Gloucesters were on 11th October 1915, I would love to hear from them so that we can start to build up a picture of his history.

Additional Information:

The Eccleshall Great War Project Eccleshall Lost Heroes. : The Mossp Family http://www.eccleshallguide.org/ehs/egwp/mossop ba.htm The Gloucestershire regiment were preparing for the assault on Hohenzollern Redoubt when Corporal Mossop was killed on 11th October 1915, the battle took place on the 13th. He is remembered at Loos memorial.

He was a friend of my grandfathers brother who was killed in the battle of Ypres Salient on the 24th May 1915. Their medals were awarded posthumously. I am the holder of both sets
