Artus Brunner, Air Mechanic 2nd Class was aged 22 when he died on 9th March 1919 whilst serving with the Royal Air Force.
Born in Middlesbrough, he lived in Jarrow. He was the son of Albert Artus and Eleanor Brunner (Morrison) and husband of Evelyn Brunner (nee Kavanagh) of 35 Palmer Street Jarrow. On the 1911 census he is recorded as
Artus Brunner age 12 at School, living with his parents Albert Artus and Eleanor Brunner and family at the Winterton Lunatic Asylum, Ferryhill, Durham. His father Albert Artus Brunner an Electrical Engineer was a member of Staff at the Asylum.
