209503 Pte. Thomas Brindley British Army. 7th Btn. London Regiment Thomas Brindley was my late Father. He was taken prisoner of War on 28th August 1918 and the forms that I have in my possession say that at the time he was serving with the 7th London Regiment(Middlesex). It would appear that he enlisted with the South Staffordshire Regiment on 2nd March 1916 and was called up on the 4th April 1918. I am trying to establish (if possible)where he was captured as I would like to visit the site. I recall when I was younger that he refered to the Shiny Seventh Londoners and that when he was captured he was one of only twenty eight men who survived. He was discharged in May 1918 and then re-enlisted with the Lincolnshire Regiment.
