Alexander MacKenzie was born on 27 January 1886 to Anne Campbell, age 39, and Malcolm MacKenzie, age 48. 27 Jan 1886 at Borreraig, Glendale, Duirinish, Invernessshire

Alexander MacKenzie died on 28 August 1916 in France when he was 30 years old. 28th Aug 1916 on The Somme, France (near the Intermediate Line in the area of High Wood and Martinpuich) During the Battle of Delville Wood part of the Somme offensive. Buried in Caterpillar Valley Cemetery, D20, 80360 Longueval, France.
