Talmadge Dewitt Allen was born 29/11/1924 in Buncombe, North Carolina He nlisted on 03/04/1943 at Camp Croft South Carolina Serial number 34771667 Grade alpha, Branch code 52 He died 05/10/1973and is buried in Everett Washington, an army memorial plague was given.The information I have is that he was stationed in Ashton-under-Lyne, Manchester, England maybe at Littlemoss Army Camp which was an anti- aircraft battery in Droyslden Manchester.
I have found another document that states:- "North Carolinians Service Records December 2, 1944 to December 17, 1944 These pages are dedicated to the Men and Women of World War II. North Carolinians Service Records Taken from the Burlington, North Carolina Daily Times News: This document contains statewide casualty lists along with items local to Alamance County. December 8, 1944 Wounded in Action European Theater Pfc. Talmadge D. Allen, Mrs. Flora B. Allen, mother, Rte. 1, Weaverville"
