Able.Sea. Cyril Thomas Newey HMS Barford

I am trying to find anyone who served on HMS Barford during WWll, because I cannot find anything about this ship which my dad served on in October 1943. We think this ship was based in Gibraltar or Malta. My dad's name was Able Seaman Cyril Thomas Newey. We know he was shipped off to the Pacific between October 1944 to 1945. But between 1944 to 1945 I don't know anything he did out there, as my dad died when I was a child and no one can tell me anything.
