501016 Sgt. Geoffrey Haigh RAF(VR) air gunner. 101 Sqd. from:Newstead, Halifax, Yorkshire, England (d.1st Sep 1943) My uncle, Geoffrey Haigh (Sergeant Air Gunner) served Ludford Magna to August 1943. Failed to return from Berlin, on the 31st August 1943, Lancaster 'S' Sugar. He is remembered on Plate 151, at Runnymede. He came from Newstead, Halifax, was 19 years old and was the son of my Grandma's sister.
