S/Sgt. Gordon Alan Corrall

British Army 79 H.A.A. Regiment Royal Artillery

from:Aveley, Essex

(d.17th Aug 1943)

Staff Sergeant Gordon Alan Corrall was aged 26 when he died somewhere in Algiers. This brave man was my grandfather, my mum never knew her father because he deployed when she was a baby. I'm not quite sure what happened to cause his death, I think it might have been due to an explosion in the harbour on 16th August 1943. I know he is buried in Bone war cemetery in Algiers, I wish I could bring him home to England.
