234449 Pte William Clifton British Army 7th Btn. Royal Worcestershire Regiment from:Malvern I came across this photograph of my late uncle, Pte. 11719 Bill Clifton of the Worcestershire Regiment, amongst my mother's things after she died. The date on the back is March 1942. He was in Stalag XXA (176) and is second from the left on the front row. He would have been about 23 when this was taken. I remember him coming home to Malvern after the war, although I was only about 3 at the time. The family and neighbours put flags across the street, and there was another soldier with him, but I can't remember a name. Perhaps someone remembers them, or this picture ?
