Sgt. Richard McCreary

British Army 8th Btn. Durham Light Infantry

from:Washington, Co Durham

I have my dad's, Sgt Richard McCreary, Army records but I am really interested in his records after his capture and when he was a POW for the rest of the war. I know he was captured May 1940 as part of the BEF and also that he was captured near Arras in northern France. However, I would like to know where he was as a POW for the rest of the war; which Stalag he was in; which salt mines in Poland; and where he was finally rescued by Allied Armies in May 1945. If anyone can help I would be grateful.
