Thomas Albert "Nipper" Weston

British Army Royal Artillery

I am trying to find information about my grandfather, Thomas Albert Weston, sometimes known as Albert Weston or Nipper. He joined the Royal Artillery at the age of 17 before the war. He passed out as best recruit and was posted to Shorncliff, Kent. He had joined up with a lad called Mickey.

He was with the BEF and was captured at Dunkirk, after making sure all his men were safely off the beach. I'm not sure which POW camp he was in, but he escaped with another chap and was on the run in occupied territory for three years. Does anyone remember him?
