Warden. Edith Ethel Blyth
Air Raid Protection Group S
from:Battersea
My maternal grandmother, Edith Blyth, was an ARP Warden during the Second World War. For many years I kept her whistle on my keyring until it was trapped in the door and squashed.
I still have photographs of her in her uniform and in training with other wardens. I have a brass badge and an aluminum tag with her name and unit number.
