Flight Lieutenant David Henry DFC was awarded the decoration of Chevalier dans l'Ordre National de la Legion dHonneur on 7th of August 2015 for his service as an RAAF Lancaster bomber pilot in 103 Squadron in the liberation of France during World War II. The medal was presented by General Jean-Louis Georgelin at the Sydney War Memorial on 5th of November 2015.
