My father William Rodger served as a dentist in the RNVR in WW2. His first ship posting was to HMS Mauritius in December 1940 when it was initially commissioned. She was deployed on Atlantic Convoy Defence, Indian Ocean Trade Defence and finally to Singapore. My father left this ship when it returned to Devonport in February 1942.
