2nd Lt. Kenneth W. Doran
United States Air Force
My brother, 2nd Lt. Kenneth W. Doran was shot down in his P52 on 4th July 1944. He was finally taken to Stalag III where he was held until the war ended.
He kept a diary of his time in the prison camp. He thought the men of the `great escape' as heroes. Kenneth died in 1979 at the age of 58 from ulcers he developed when a POW.
