225191 Cpl. James George Randolph McConney British Army 1st Airborne Royal Corps of Signals from:Harrogate, Yorkshire (d.28th March 1943) James McConney is my uncle George who enlisted underage. He was a paratrooper participating in the African campaign in Tunisia, killed when he stepped on a mine. The only son and last child of four, my grandmother was devastated. We discovered his resting place through Ancestry and have since received pictures of his headstone and the cemetery itself.
