222517 Fus. William James Daniel British Army 2nd Btn. Royal Welch Fusiliers from:Aberystwyth (d.3rd Feb 1945) William James Daniel, served as Fusilier, 14320767 with the Royal Welch Fusiliers. He was the son of David James Daniel and Mary Alice Daniel, of Brynllwyd Farm, Aberystwyth. William enlisted on 5th of Nov 1942 and was posted to India on 24th of Oct 1943 where he served with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers. William was killed on 3rd of February 1945 while the battalion took part in the Burmese campaign. He was 20 years old. Originally buried at Mandalay Military Cemetery before being reburied in Taukkyan War Cemetery, Myanmar.
