Joseph Miller served with the 9th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry during WW2 and was killed in action on the 31/05/1940 or 01/06/1940 aged 31. He is buried in the Annoeullin Communal Cemetery and German Extension in France.
Joseph was the son of Edward and Ethel May Miller, of Gateshead, Co. Durham also husband of Blanche Velyn Alderson Miller, of Gateshead.
