James Wood died aged 19, he was the son of Frederick and Jane Isabella Wood of Jarrow and is buried in Banneville-La-Campagne War Cemetery.
He is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
