Harold Softley died aged 22m he was born in Jarrow in 1922, son of Robert Carr and Amelia Munro F. Softley (nee Collings) of Jarrow.
Harold is buried in Jarrow Cemetery and is commemorated on the WW2 Roll of Honour Plaque in the entrance of Jarrow Town Hall.
