Pvt James Finley

James Finley was the son of John D. & Sara E. Finley and the husband of Grace Amelia Leonard. He was a carpenter.
He took part in the Battle of Luzon (8 December 1941 - 6 January 1942) and the Battle of Bataan (7 January 1942 - 9 April 1942). He was taken POW on 9 April 1942 and was on the Death March to Camp O'Donnell. Then followed Cabanatuan and Fukuoka 17. He was then on the Hell Ship Clyde Maru which sailed from Manila on 23 July 1943. He finally arrived at Omuta, Kyushu on 10 August 1943. He was liberated on September 1945.
James Finley is buried in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Spencer, Oklahoma
