On 18th March 1944 an RAF air craft, Mitchell FR180 320 squadron, ditched into the sea at 13.10 hrs (GMT) 3 miles west of Cayeux, France.
Crew members were: Sgt. H.J. Ott Sgt. W.F. Gans Cpl. F.I. Posthumus Sgt. J.J.C. Lub All were rescued by ASR Sea Otter.
