Norman Alexandra "Dutch" Holland
Royal Canandian Air Force 82 Sqd.
from:Winapeg
My father, Norman Holland, nick name Dutch, was a pilot in India in World World War 2. He flew many missions and flew with many co-pilots. His squadron was #82. I have his log book from the war and it has many names in it that he flew with. He writes about some of the missions in short. My father's plane was hit on two different missions. In the first, two of his men bailed out and were shot in the air and my dad managed to bring the plane and the rest of the crew home safely. The story goes the next time he got hit he asked if any one wanted to bail out or stick with him and try and make it back. No one bailed out and they lived to tell the story.
