My father, Jim Shaw served in Burma and India during the Second World War but never really spoke about his time there. I know he said that sometimes if a friend was taken ill he never knew if he would see them again and he came back from the war with a Samurai sword which he possessed until the 1960s. I would like to know more about his time there.
