L/Bdr. Albert Edward Tozer

British Army 35 Lt AA Regiment, 78 Bty Royal Artillery

from:Bournemouth

(d.23rd Aug 1945)

78Bty, 35th LAA Regiment, Royal Artillery

Albert Tozer was a relative of my wife, I discovered LBdr Tozer was a POW of the Japanese following the capture of his unit after the fall of Singapore. Unfortunately he is recorded as having died only a few days after the Japanese surrender. He survived so long under horrendous conditions only to die when rescue was so close.
