Albert Edward Hewison
British Army Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry
My Grandad, Albert Hewison, never spoke about the war and war films upset him too. His brother pawned his medals so the family never got them to hand on and his records went up in the fire. I cannot find anything on him. Did anyone know him? Where did he go and what medals did he have? I would like to get copies as I believe he had`about 13. All I know is that he was evacuated at Dunkirk and was in India with the Indian Army so guessing he was in Burma and France campaigns. Can anyone help?
