208758 WO Alfred Pate Royal Air Force 50 Squadron from:Exeter My father Alfred Pate flew wth 50 Squadron, at the latter end of WW2. I would love to know who his crew was and where they flew from. I have vague memories of him mentioning being on the Ark Royal at one stage. I have found very little in the archives and I wonder whether because of the vast numbers involved in the bombing raids, and the turnover of crews and planes, there are records missing. I would be grateful for any information at all on my dad's time as I know that for all they were scary, he loved his time in the service.
