Pte. John Martin
British Army Queen's Royal West Surrey Regiment
from:Southwark, London
My father, John Martin, was a prisoner in Stalag XXB, POW No 6554. He was
called up in September 1939 and captured in May 1940, near Amiens in
France I believe. I am also in possession of a complete list of places marched to on the Great March, including the English interpretation of these names, very humorous. I believe he had a great sidekick called Tommy Rawson from Manchester. Any information would be gratefully received.
