Pte. James Joseph Smart

British Army Gordon Highlanders

from:Liverpool

I am looking at my dad's history and it seems that he was shot in the back whilst in Belgium around D-day and sent home to the military hospital. I am not sure were this was if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.

My dad, James Smart joined the Gordon Highlanders because his grand dad was Scottish I am not sure if his family were in the Gordon Highlanders. Grandad's name was Archibald Smart and he was from Glasgow.
