204654 Petty Officer Alexander "Nimble" Carmichael Royal Navy HMS Nelson from:Glasgow I am writing a biography of my father's wartime experiences as he had an interesting war. He was at Narvik, on the Malta Convoy, was seconded to HMS Tallyho and was on the submarine when it was reported as sunk with all hands lost. He was a naval commando and witnessed the surrender of the Japanese on HMS Nelson. He also played football for the Navy and after the war played Portugal (Navy won) and Brazil(Navy lost).
