27th July 1915

On this day:

  • 2nd Royal Fusilierssail from Alexandria   The 2nd Battalion Royal Fusilers sailed from Alexandia for Lemnos enroute to the Dardanelles.

  • 6th London Brigade RFA Retaliate   6th County of London Brigade RFA report 2/Lt J.C. Woollett proceeded to England on 7 days leave of absence. 15th London Battery fired 28 rounds in retaliation on German first and second line trenches. On this objective 16th London Battery retaliated with 10 rounds and also fired 3 rounds at Loos pylons. 17th London Battery did not fire.
