On this day:

  • Slight Shelling   236th London Brigade Royal Field Artillery report from Aix-Noulette: Except for slight shelling of Boche Trench & the Straight everything was all quiet. 141st Infantry Brigade relieved by the 63rd Division.

  • 3rd Canadian Tunnelling Coy War Diary   

    Hill 60 Enemy heavily bombarded our front line & supports, chiefly with trench mortars. Enemy patrol crossed to our line and entered Trench 39 close to bridge. 13th Battalion on right saw patrol & opened up with machine guns & sent out bombers. Enemy retired and left a mobile charge weighing about 35 lbs. in trench also a number of bombs.
