13th August - Ronville - Lt Colonel WEW Elkington relinquishes command of the Battalion on being ordered to join the 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment.

Cooperation of 16 Grenade Rifles with 93rd T.M.B on POPES NOSE 7.30am. Stokes guns appeared to be indifferently aimed. Enemy retaliated 1pm with indifferent effect upon front line. Weather cooler. 3 OR wounded.
