Pte. Robert Hepburn
British Army Middlesex Regiment
from:Tottenham, Middlesex
Robert Hepburn was my Grandmother's brother and therefore my Grand Uncle.
He had five brothers and three sisters. He was a potter by trade, living with his mother aged 27 and never married.
He returned from the war with what I believe to be 'Shell Shock'.
He lived in Tottenham for a few years moving from place to place.
Eventually taken into Napsbury Military Hospital.
He did try to escape a couple of times, but was caught by the police and returned.
He died in Napsbury in 1951 aged 65.
I and my siblings attended his funeral, although not realising at the time as we played in a meadow with an aunt.
