Hugh Melling died on 4th of November 1918, aged 19 and is buried in the Ors Communal Cemetery in France. He was the son of Thomas and Alice Melling of Hesketh Lane, Tarleton, Lancashire

Additional Information:

Hugh was my Grandmother Rosetta (nee Ashcroft)'s first cousin. So sad that such a young man lost his life. My mother Annie spent quite a lot of time with Hugh's mother Alice who with husband Thomas owned Mellings' Corn Merchants in Tarleton. God Bless Hugh and family.
